I read the description and realized that the XiaXia pets did not come with the playset. ;-)
It was a *lot* of fun! The different rooms give kids the opportunity for creative playtime, story acting, and hours of entertainment.
It also gives the XiaXia pets a safe place to roam without falling off the table.
The side rooms can hold about 2 Xia Xia pets, and the big room can fit up to 4 hermit crabs. The rooms can be connected together. Oh, and one of the rooms has shelves to hold additional shells or mini friends.
They may have a hard time getting from room to room, but it's still a fun toy. Definitely make sure that you already have XiaXia pets and some shells!

The picture of this is very deceiving, it shows the village, crabs, shells etc and all you get is the village, what fun is that without the crabs and snails, now I have to find the crabs, shells etc, and from what I see they are quite expensive!! Very disappointing for $35 total.

Our Grandaughter loved this toy. She went to the ocean with her parents and played on the beach with the litte crabs. We are going to ordering more.

"foreigner"
the actual crabs are fun and cute, and my daughter loves them, but this Village is a waste of money and space! It comes apart, it's of poor quality, and she has never played with it once.

This toy, for what it is, is way too expensive. It is small in area, easily broken, and our grandchildren quickly tired of it. If I had it to do over again, I definately would not purchase the Xia Xia crabs or plastic village.
